Teacher & Owner, Samantha Scorah
Hi! I'm Sam. I'm a certified children's yoga teacher with over 15 years of personal yoga practice and a background in education as a Deputy Head Teacher.
​
My years as an educator in schools, particularly working with children with SEND and SEMH needs, have given me a deep understanding of how yoga can support both physical health and emotional wellbeing for children in an accessible way.
Yoga has had a profound impact on my life, and I’m passionate about sharing its benefits with children.
Through Yogibær, I aim to bring yoga, mindfulness, and meditation to children through my weekly classes as well as within schools, helping children thrive in both body and mind.

What is Yogïbær?
At Yogïbær, we believe yoga is a transformative tool that empowers children to connect with their bodies, minds, and emotions in a fun and supportive environment. Our classes are designed to engage children aged 2-12 in a holistic practice that nurtures not only physical strength and flexibility, but also emotional wellbeing and mindfulness.

Our approach is grounded in the principles of Yogabeez, the school of yoga that trained us, and at the heart of every class is the child themselves. We understand that every child is unique, with their own pace, needs, and emotional landscape, and we tailor our sessions to reflect this individuality.

What We Offer
Yogïbær offers a range of exciting and inclusive classes and services that support the holistic development of children. Whether you're a parent looking for a bonding experience with your toddler or a school interested in enhancing emotional resilience among your students, we have something for everyone:

Parent & Toddler Classes: These sessions provide a nurturing space for parents and toddlers to practice yoga together, fostering bonding, coordination, and a sense of calm through simple poses, songs, and playful movement.

Kids Yoga Classes: Our classes for children aged 2-12 blend yoga poses, mindfulness, and creative activities to help children develop flexibility, strength, and emotional resilience. Each class is designed to be both educational and fun, encouraging children to explore yoga in a way that suits their age and abilities.

After-School Clubs: These clubs offer a wonderful opportunity for children to unwind after a busy day at school. Through fun games, breathing techniques, and creative movement, kids learn essential life skills such as stress management, emotional regulation, and improved focus—all while having fun in a social, supportive setting.

SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Groups: These groups provide a safe space for children to explore their emotions, develop coping strategies, and enhance their social and emotional well-being.

SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Classes: Our SEND yoga classes are designed to support children with diverse learning needs, helping them build confidence, improve focus, and enjoy movement in a calming and inclusive environment.

Interventions: Yoga-based interventions can help children dealing with stress, anxiety, and emotional challenges, offering tools to improve their mental health and well-being.

Special Yoga Events: We also offer specialised sessions for events such as Mental Health Week, Healthy Living Week, or pre-SATS de-stressing sessions. At Yogïbær, we believe yoga is about more than just physical movement. It’s about empowering children to explore their feelings, regulate their emotions, and build confidence. Our classes nurture the social, emotional, and mental development of each child. We encourage every child to honour their unique experiences, offering them tools to manage emotions, build resilience, and develop a sense of self-awareness.

We focus on all aspects of yoga, from physical postures to mindfulness and relaxation techniques. Our classes incorporate:
